    Restored Vintage Surveyor's Level


    During college, I spent several summers working for the local electric company.  A couple of those summers I worked for the Engineering Department and got to help out with the survey work.  So for a while I'd been watching for vintage surveyor's equipment to decorate the man-cave.

    Christmas of 2009, my wife found this Bostrom Mfg. level, complete with tripod, wooden case, plumb bob, and target stick.  It was in overall good condition, just needed some TLC.  I polished up the metal and refinished the woodwork and now it sits by the window in my home office.
